We do occasionally go on sale, but it’s a rare treat! Instead, we focus on maintaining fair pricing year-round for our high-quality pieces. For our subscribed customers, we offer exclusive special deals a few times a year as a little thank-you for being part of the Karibou family. It’s our way of adding a bit of magic to your shopping experience!
Where are Karibou Products made?
Karibou products are thoughtfully crafted currently in China, India, and Bangladesh by trusted manufacturers who align with our values of quality and ethical production. We're always on the lookout for new, like-minded partners to work with to ensure that our products are made with the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Shipping and Deliveries
Processing Your Order
Once we receive your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Once your items are shipped you will also receive a confirmation email with a link to track your parcel.
For security reasons and prevention of credit card fraud we do not send any orders to PO Boxes or Mailbag addresses.
Shipping Timelines
We try to ship all items the following day to ensure that you receive your package as soon as possible. However, please allow 2-3 business days for processing time.
Important: Please be aware if your order is being delivered outside of New Zealand you may be liable for duties, taxes or charges specific to the destination country. Charges imposed at the destination are beyond our control and we will not be held liable for any of these charges should they arise.

Returns and Exchanges
Returns and Exchanges Policy
At Karibou, we prioritise your satisfaction, but we do not offer refunds as a standard. However, we’re happy to consider them on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, please contact us via email within 2 days of receiving your order. For store credit or exchanges, we’re delighted to assist if the request is made within 14 days of receiving your order. Please ensure that all returns and exchanges are in unused, original condition with tags attached.

At Karibou, we aim to make returns and exchanges straightforward:
Responsibility: All return and exchange costs are the sender's responsibility. Karibou is not liable for items lost in transit, so we recommend using a tracked service.
Eligibility for Store Credit:
- Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order.
- Items must be in new, unused condition with original tags and packaging, including the plastic bag if applicable.
- Due to hygiene reasons, swimwear, underwear, and hosiery cannot be returned. Please review the "Return Exceptions" section for more details.
Store Credit Details: All store credits are issued based on the item's original purchase price.
To initiate a return or exchange, simply reach out to us at support@karibou.co.nz within the specified timeframe.
Return Exceptions
Certain items are excluded from our return policy, including:
- Items that have been worn, used, or altered in any way.
- Swimwear, hosiery, underwear, and bloomers that have not been tried on over undergarments or nappies.
- Sale, discounted, and promotional items, unless they are found to be faulty.
We appreciate your understanding as we maintain these policies to ensure the highest standards for all our customers.
Sale Items: Final Sale Policy
Please note that all sale items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
We recommend reviewing product details and sizing guides carefully before purchasing sale items. If you have any questions or need assistance, our team is happy to help—simply contact us at support@karibou.co.nz before placing your order.
Securing Your Exchange
We’re unable to reserve items for exchanges. To guarantee availability of your desired size, colour, or style, we recommend placing a new order. Your new item will usually be dispatched the next business day. Once we receive your return, we’ll promptly process a refund for the returned item.
We value your feedback! Suggestions on sizing, colours, or styles help us improve our designs. Feel free to share your thoughts with us anytime at support@karibou.co.nz.
Gift Returns
Received a gift that’s not quite right? If the item meets our return criteria, it can be returned for store credit in the form of a gift card. To process the return, we’ll need the original purchaser’s name and order number to confirm the purchase and ensure accurate credit application.
Your store credit will be valid for an entire year, giving you plenty of time to find something you’ll love. Once our warehouse confirms the return meets all criteria, your store credit will be issued within 3 to 7 business days.
Faulty Items
If you come across a manufacturing fault, we’re here to help. Simply email us at support@karibou.co.nz with clear photos of the issue and your order details and we'll resolve the issue promptly and organise a replacement.
Important: Please do not return faulty items without prior consultation with our customer care team. This ensures a smooth and efficient resolution.
Preorders
What is a pre-order?
A pre-order allows you to reserve an item before it’s officially available. By placing a pre-order, you’ll be one of the first to receive your item when it arrives!
How long will it take to receive my pre-order?
The expected shipping date for pre-order items is listed on the product page. If you’ve ordered a pre-order item alongside in-stock items, we will ship your order once all items are available.
Can I cancel or modify my pre-order?
Once a pre-order is placed, it cannot be modified or cancelled, so please double-check your order details before completing the purchase.
Will I be charged immediately for a pre-order?
Yes, we charge for pre-orders at the time of purchase.
What happens if the pre-order item is delayed?
We’ll notify you if there are any delays to your pre-order and will provide an updated shipping date.
Can I return a pre-order item?
Pre-order items are subject to the same return policy as regular items, but please check our specific return guidelines to ensure eligibility.
